Intellicom Ireland (Ltd), the Contact Centre, Telephony & Unified Communications Specialists, has announced today the appointment of Industry veteran, Sean McNamee, as a non-executive Director.

Neil Wisdom, Managing Director of Intellicom, explains; “Sean is a stalwarth of the technology sector in Ireland. We have worked together in previous companies for over a decade and I have always valued and respected his clear thinking, strong decision making and great feel for business and customer development”. Wisdom continues by adding, “Sean is a master at relationship building and I’ve no doubt he’ll be a great addition to the management team and will help us further develop and expand our service propositions and market share both locally and internationally”.
Sean commenced his career in 1973 with Xerox and after almost twenty years, and stints with Burroughs and McDonnell Douglas, he set up Lan Communications with partners Mike McGrath and John Dolan in 1993. Under his leadership, the company achieved significant growth and secured a broad range of clients across public and private sectors including bluechip names such as Aviva, CitiGroup, Eircom, An Garda Siochána (Irish Police Force), Department of Defence and ESB. Lan Communications was sold to eircom in 1999. Sean continued in the role of Managing Director until 2003 when he left to take on the role of CEO, Crannog Software, a company he had co-founded with the other Lan Communications directors in 1998. In 2007 Crannog was acquired by Danaher Corporation and merged with their Fluke Networks division where the Crannog product set became an important part of their networking test and measurement portfolio for their worldwide client base. From 2007 until today Sean has acted in executive and non-executive director roles for a variety of Irish companies where his experience and business acumen has been a valuable company asset.

Sean McNamee says “I’m delighted to be working with Neil again. The Intellicom product and service portfolio is extremely strong and obviously offers a great mix of features, 3rd party integration, and the economic advantage of flexible cap ex or op ex financing models. They are a great team of people and I’ve already been impressed by their focus and dedication to the business and their customers”. McNamee finishes by saying “Telephone networks have been around long before computer networks, I’m looking forward myself too to learning about the modern Voice technologies and ways they can be delivered and integrated into other IP Network architectures”
